High School Science Fair Judges Needed

The annual Palos Verdes Peninsula Science and Engineering Fair will take place on February 8 at Los Verdes Golf Club and we are looking for judges! No prior science fair judging experience needed—we only ask for your willingness to listen to our amazing high school researchers share their projects with you. We have experienced section chair judges for each category who will help guide you through the scoring and judging. The commitment for judges is 8:00 am – 1 pm on February 8. Hydrogel-assisted therapy for cell replacement and vascular regeneration in the brain. A novel super-resolution AI engine and abnormality detection pipeline for early blindness prevention. Machine learning in mental disorder diagnosis – from classification to accurate identification of ADHD, Schizophrenia, depression and bipolar disorder. These are just a few of the ideas and presentations from our Peninsula and Palos Verdes high school students at this year’s science fair which took place on February 2, 2023 at Los Verdes Golf Course. Our young scientists did a fantastic job of sharing their research, findings and data analysis. So impressive! Your donations to PEF fund important programs like the high school science fair which inspire students to pursue a career in STEM.
