PEF’S EXTENDED DAY ACADEMY

Extended Day Academy creates a longer day so students can complete homework and enjoy Enrichment classes every school day of the school year from school dismissal until 5:15pm. The first hour is homework help, study skills and organizational skills. Snacks are always available.

The program is open to all 6th grade students. Register by the trimester for the specific days of the week your student will attend.

Students – pay by the trimester for by-the-day classes (i.e. all Mondays, etc.)
ELOP qualified – attend free
EL designated – attend at a reduced rate

Extended Day operates every school day, with the exception of 8/26/26, 6/9/27 and 6/10/27.  Click below for specific class options at each intermediate school.

Trimester 1: August 27, 2026 – November 20, 2026 

Trimester 2: November 30, 2026 – March 5, 2027 

Trimester 3: March 8, 2027 – June 8, 2027

ELOP STUDENTS

ELOP qualified students attend at no cost. Economically disadvantaged and foster youth are an example of the qualification categories. To inquire if your student is qualified, call 310-732-0900×780 or apply for “Free and Reduced Lunch” at PVPUSD Free Meals Application. Even though all school meals are free of charge, determination is made by PVPUSD upon completion of the federal “Free Meals” application process completed after July 1, 2026 or later.

ENGLISH LEARNER STUDENTS

Students who are English Learners qualify to register for a reduced rate. Email the designation letter provided by PVPUSD Education Services to Enrichment@pvpef.org for a code to be issued prior to registering. We will respond with registration instructions. Please note – Extended Day Academy is not an English language learning class.
