PEF’S EXTENDED DAY ACADEMY
The Extended Day Academy is a special program available to all 6th-grade students at Miraleste, PVIS and Ridgecrest. It offers students a chance to complete their homework and participate in enrichment classes every school day, from dismissal until 5:15 pm, extending their school day to 9 hours. The first hour focuses on homework assistance, study skills and organizational strategies, while the following hours are filled with a variety of engaging and educational activities. Snacks are provided, and a schedule of the classes available each day at each school can be viewed below.

HOW TO REGISTER
Register for the full trimester, selecting the specific days of the week your student will attend. Partial trimester registrations are not available.
Trimester 2: November 18, 2024 – March 3, 2025
ELOP STUDENTS
Qualified students (ELOP designated) attend at no cost. Email the designation letter provided by PVPUSD Food Services to [email protected] for a code to be issued prior to registering. We will respond with registration instructions.
To inquire if your student is qualified, apply for “Free and Reduced Meals” at https://pvpusdschoolnutrition.net/index.php?sid=1805092048139844&page=lunchapps. Even though all school meals are free of charge, determination is made by PVPUSD upon completion of the “Free Meals” application process. ENGLISH LEARNER STUDENTS
Students who are English Learners qualify to register for a reduced rate. Email the designation letter provided by PVPUSD Education Services to [email protected] for a code to be issued prior to registering. We will respond with registration instructions. Please note – Extended Day Academy is not an English language learning class.
