Here on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, parents, alumni, businesses and community supporters all believe that a strong educational experience is imperative for our children. Because of your generous donations, PEF is able to fund vital programs and teachers that provide rich and innovative experiences for our children who can continue to learn at high levels. We are fortunate to have some of the best schools in the state because of YOU! Your donations fund:

Congratulations to our 2022 PEF Senior Scholarship recipients! David Maemoto (PV High School) and Vanessa Niu (Peninsula High) were each awarded $1,500 to use for their post-secondary level education. These outstanding students were selected from a field of impressive applicants. David will be attending Stanford University and plans to major in mechanical engineering. Vanessa will be attending UCLA as a biology major on the pre-medical track.

PEF is proud to announce that Summer Sports Alliance is now open for registration. Camps are open to all high school student-athletes (incoming 9th graders-12th graders). Information and sports camp schedules are continuously being added to the registration site. Check back if you don’t see the sport you are looking for!

MAIN EVENT 2022 IS SOLD OUT!
Main Event is Palos Verdes Peninsula’s biggest fundraiser of the year, which will be held at Southern California’s premier luxury destination Terranea Resort on Friday, April 22. The amazing night will feature entertainment by the ever popular Neil Diamond tribute band, Super Diamond! Enjoy an incredible evening of cocktails, dinner, dancing and the much-anticipated silent and live auctions.
Feeling lucky? Purchase a raffle ticket for two amazing raffles: win a 2022 Lexus RX 350 and 1-year of dining at Terranea Resort! Four people can eat at Catalina Kitchen once a month for a whole year. Lexus raffle tickets are 1/$50 or 3/$125. Terranea raffle tickets are 1/$50. To purchase tickets, call PEF at 310-378-2278.

These are just a few of the ideas and presentations from our Peninsula and Palos Verdes high school students at this year’s science fair which took place on February 10 at the school district. Our young scientists did a fantastic job of sharing their research, findings and data analysis. So impressive! Your donations to PEF fund important programs like the high school science fair which inspire students to pursue a career in STEM.
